NEW DELHI: Tech giant Google has confirmed that it will end support for the Google Keep Chrome app in February 2021. The company is moving the app to Google Keep on the Web. The decision to end support for the app is part of the company's long term plan of killing all Chrome apps. Along with this, the company has also informed that the access to Keep on the Chrome lock screen will also be removed. Google support page also mentions that users will be able to access notes offline on the Google Keep mobile app but they will not be able to do so on the computer. Users can also install a shortcut which will open Keep on the Chrome browser. In order to do so, users will have to go to Google Keep, click on Star and can either rename the bookmark or change the folder location of the said bookmark.
